tonakeI remember Lin tagged me... a while back, let's put it this way, but I never really got around to doing it because I haven't been active on LJ for a pretty long time now, and have been neglecting my DW in favour of Tumblr. I guess I'll do it now?

Morty (Pokemon)
OBVIOUS MUSE CHOICE IS OBVIOUS but ok. Actually, Morty is in that weird position on my list of favourite characters where I don't have intense feels for him (like I did for, say, Chaltier. I GUESS THIS IS WHERE MY LOVE FOR DORKS COMES FROM) but I still love him a lot and he's ~special~ to me. I GUESS A BIG PART OF THIS LOVE COMES FROM THE FACT THAT I BROSHIP HIM WITH EUSINE MOST INTENSELY oh god I have so many feels for that ship you have no idea. Except for No. She has an idea. All the ideas, in fact.
But uhhh if I'm not allowed to turn this into a 50-pages essay on the subject of Morty/Eusine bromance, well... Playing Morty is a bit hard for me, since I'm always nervous that I don't make him derpy/chill/troll-ish enough. I MEAN SERIOUSLY MORTY, HOW DO YOU EVEN WORK. It's still a great deal of fun, though! Except for that fact that I have to make him more talkative/sociable than he actually is, I guess (because otherwise I wouldn't even have threads GDIT MORTY WHY ARE YOU SUCH A RECLUSIVE DORK), but then again I'm playing a teen!Morty, so... It probably still works?
That said, I love the way he's portrayed in Pokespe. HE IS SUCH A DORK, I CANNOT EVEN- I mean what kind of a gym leader doesn't even know what is going on in his city? And he's not even away from said city. Also, the fact that he's apparently completely oblivious to ladies swooning over him and starts rambling about his ~BEST FRIEND EVER~ instead. And his scenes with Surge always make me go... well, something between "squee" and "pffffftsnrk". I LOVE THEIR INTERACTION SO MUCH. SO MUCH.
Also, DAT ASS and the faces he makes sometimes. I can't. I just... can't sometimes.

Malik Caesars (Tales of Graces/f)
MALIK
OH MY GOD MALIK
If you ask me, Malik is the best of the Tales of's old men. Except he's in his fourties or something, but you know. Totally old.
I guess the first thing I liked about Malik was the fact that he apparently has a pink shirt. Just... pink shirts. Yes. I approve.
I haven't payed much attention to him at the very first, since what he mostly did was BLAH BLAH BLAH OBVIOUS KNIGHTLY THINGS BLAH BLAH at Asbel (well, if you except the childhood part of the game), but then we got him interacting with other characters and I pretty much fell in love with him. I love his trolling (especially towards Asbel and Hubert), his occasional ridiculousness and the fact that he knows he's being ridiculous but keeps doing it just for fun, his lying to Sophie (SOPHIE I AM TALL BECAUSE THIS WAY IT'S EASIER TO PICK APPLES) and the fact that he apparently keeps teaching her things and dfhgsdkfs oh god their interaction in general is so adorable I HAVE ALL THE HAPPYCREYS, the fact that he's afraid of heights, his relationship with Richard (in F), even his constant dying in battle. IT'S JUST NOT THE SAME IF KYOUKAN DOESN'T KEEP DYING.
And I especially love those moments when we can actually see him as a serious character, especially when it's about his past. But at the same time he's not that typical Tales of TRAGIC CHARACTER WITH DARK PAST, and while said angsty past is a pretty big part of him it's pretty obvious that he knows how to move on and actually enjoy his current life without, you know, SECRETLY ANGSTING ABOUT EVERYTHING. Or well, that's how I remember things were.
I'll probably leave the "his relationship with Kurtz" thing out because SPOILERS, and now let's talk about how amazing in battle he is. Despite the fact that he keeps dying.
First of all, his weapong of choice is a boomerang sword. Granted, pretty much everyone in this game has some kind of a badass improbable weapon, but you gotta agree it's still pretty cool. Second, he is a badass magician, and has all sorts of awesome spells (well, except for IN-DIG-NAYSHOOON), and I love love love his BCs. ESPECIALLY ETERNAL SERENADE, IT IS FULL OF BEAUTY AND I REMEMBER BEATING SHIT OUT OF MONSTERS JUST TO SEE IT AGAIN. Third, I can have him battle in a goddamn speedo and I will keep doing this and I have no regrets. Fourth, his end battle lines. Especially with Sophie.
Also, SHINTEN REKKUU ZANKOU SENPUU MESSAI SHINBATSU KASSATSUGEKI.
Also, MALIK BEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAM.
Ohhh and the last thing I'd like to mention is that I ship him with Cheria like burning.No pedo but oh god seriously they make the best couple in my head? Granted I also sort of ship him with Pascal, but I still can't decide if it's in a platonic or romantic way. But then again I also ship him with Richard and Kurtz and GOD I CAN'T HOLD ALL THESE SHIPS

sdgfksdf boy I love Merlin. I still have to watch the newest season, though (and I heard there are sad things happening in it? MY KOKORO WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO HANDLE IT SOB OH GOD I ALSO HEARD SAID THINGS HAPPEN TO ARTHUR AND MERLIN AND NOOOOO MY OTP), but I just... really really loved him in all the previous seasons. I especially liked his obliviousness and derpness at the beginning:
Merlin: THAT PRINCE GUY IS MEAN I'LL TOTALLY KICK HIS ASS WITH MAGIC AND SHOW HIM THAT HE NEEDS TO TREAT OTHER PEOPLE WITH RESPECT
Gaius: Merlin no magic is prohibited you'll get executed
Merlin: /GETS IN A FIGHT WITH ARTHUR /REMEMBERS HE CAN'T USE MAGIC OPENLY /WELL SHIT /GETS HIS ASS HANDED TO HIM /well at least he's alive
Gaius: I told you doofus I warned you about magic
Also, I forever love his relationship with Arthur. Which is apparently another one of my INTENSE BROMANCE SHIPS because they just... sort of complete each other shgdfksf. Merlin is more thoughtful and cunning, as opposed to Arthur's KNIGHTLY DUTIES AND ALMOST GETTING HIMSELF KILLED BECAUSE OF HONOUR AND SHIT, while Arthur is, well, more straightforward, and thankfully stronger physically than Merlin, and ends up saving his ass a lot of times. They save each other's asses a lot of times, in general. I'd say this is mostly what the series are about, two guys saving each other's asses. Yep.
And another thing I like about their bromance is their troll-y dynamic which is basically like:
Merlin *VERBAL TROLLING AND CALLING ARTHUR NAMES*
Arthur: *CAN'T COME UP WITH A SMART ANSWER, JUST HITS MERLIN*

Well that aside, they really do care about each other like holy shit are you guys for real. And even though Merlin is all "UGH THIS IS JUST MY STUPID DESTINY I DON'T WANT TO TAKE CARE OF THIS CLOTPOLE" at first, they really become bros with time. Unless the fourth season ruined it.
BUT OKAY BACK TO MERLIN HIMSELF I guess what I also like about him is that he... tends to make mistakes because of his open-heartedness and kind attitude towards people, sometimes very serious and grave mistakes- especially because of things like BUT I CAN'T LET A KID DIE HE'S JUST A KID!!! 8( and BUT I MADE A PROMISE I HAVE TO KEEP MY PROMISE 8( and yyyeah sometimes he ends up making more mistakes while trying to correct his other mistakes. But I guess this is what I like about him, he's trying to be a good guy while the world around him is pretty fucked up and unkind.Hello Uther how is your being batshit going
To sum it all up, Merlin is a preciouswaifu husbando and I love him and these series forever and I don't care if they go on forever and become full of fillers I still love them.

Marie (Jungle wa Itsumo Hale nochi Guu)

She's a Hale+Guu character. That's pretty much all you need to know about her.
But if I were to elaborate on the details a bit, I'd have to say that 100% of the characters of Hale+Guu are ridiculous (Hale excluded) and 95% of them are amazing (Hale excluded). Marie fits into the both categories.
And if I were to elaborate a bit more, well, she's a 10-years-old overly hyper girl who is A STRONG WOMAN and tops everyone and everything. Also, she thinks herself to be a ~dramatic shoujo manga~ character and is a ham at times. Yep.
Mitsuru (Persona 3)
... Mitsuru is one of my biggest game character crushes. No, really. I didn't pay much attention to her at first (well ok she looks pretty but she's not that interesting), but as the game went on and events unfolded I realized I was liking her more and more. Still not sure why, maybe it's the fact that she's a bit of a dork and kind of shy under her cool and elegant attitude. She's... just that kind of character I'd just want to cuddle and make her happy and OTL I DON'T EVEN KNOW, GUYS. ILHER.
Also, there's the fact that she has a lesbian fangirl and also I ship her with Yukari (with Akihiko, too, but mostly in a "totally bros" way). I BLAME YUKARI FOR THIS. I mean what kind of a thing to say is "OK WE'RE TOTALLY FRIENDS NOW LET'S GO TAKE A BATH TOGETHER BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT FRIENDS DO". Well gee that sure wasn't homo.
